After an extraordinary career spanning almost 43 years in the legal profession, and nearly 41 as a qualified solicitor, our founder and former Senior Partner, Howard Freeman will retire from his role as Consultant Solicitor with effect from 26 June 2026. This is a milestone moment for the firm, and one that invites both genuine gratitude and optimism for what lies ahead.
Since founding Freemans in 1995, Howard has been at the heart of everything we are. He has shaped not only the firm’s growth and reputation, but also its culture, values, and ethos. His commitment to integrity, care for clients, and respect for people has set the standard for all of us. Many within the firm have benefited directly from his encouragement, mentorship, and quiet guidance, and his influence will remain part of Freemans for years to come.
Howard has asked that his attached note be shared with you all. It is characteristically thoughtful and heartfelt, and we would encourage everyone to read it.
While we will miss seeing Howard’s day‑to‑day presence, this is a moment to feel proud of what has been built together and confident about the future. Freemans Law LLP is in a strong position, with talented people across the firm, growing teams, and a clear sense of direction. The values that Howard instilled remain firmly at the core of how we work, and we move forward with real momentum and enthusiasm.
We wish to reassure you that the firm remains fully committed to continuing to deliver the high-quality legal services you have come to expect. Our experienced team of Partners, solicitors and support staff, has worked closely with Howard and is well positioned to ensure a seamless transition of responsibilities and continued support for all client matters.
Over the next few weeks any current matters will be re-allocated to our other Partners and solicitors in the Property Department so that there will be no interruption to the services we provide.
Our firm’s commitment to excellence, responsiveness, and client service remains unchanged. We look forward to continuing to serve you and to building on the strong foundation that Howard has helped create.
We thank Howard for everything he has given to Freemans and wish him a happy, healthy, and fulfilling retirement.
