Ashwin Prashar


Ashwin joined Freemans Solicitors in October 2023 and qualified as a Solicitor in February 2024.

Prior to joining Freemans, Ashwin spent over four years working as a paralegal and trainee, in Dispute Resolution and Civil Litigation, at a prominent West-End firm. Ashwin also completed seats in Real Estate and Family Law. Ashwin prides himself on being thorough and reasonable in his approach to resolving disputes.


  • Opposed and unopposed lease renewals pursuant to the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954;
  • Landlord and tenant disputes (both commercial and residential);
  • Residential lease extensions, including dealing with proceedings in the First-Tier Tribunal and County Court.
  • High Court litigation, including assisting on applications for Worldwide Freezing Orders and Proprietary Injunctions;
  • Enforcement proceedings, ranging from instructing High Court Enforcement Officers, issuing applications for third party debt orders, applying for charging orders and orders for sale under ToLATA;
  • Insolvency and bankruptcy litigation;
  • Professional negligence claims;
  • Contractual disputes;
  • Debt collection;
  • Appeals to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.


  • In 2017, Ashwin achieved a first-class undergraduate degree (Law LLB) from the University of Liverpool.
  • In 2021, Ashwin completed his LPC together with a Masters in Law, Business and Management and achieved a Commendation.


  • Outside of work, Ashwin enjoys cooking and is an avid boxing fan.
  • Ashwin also enjoys DIY tasks such as painting and decorating.
