Claire joined Freemans as a partner in 2026 . She has extensive experience in all forms of commercial litigation, from partnership disputes to unfair prejudice petitions. She has worked closely with insolvency practitioners and criminal practitioners in cases relating to fraud and other deception offences. As such she has been involved in several high profile cases involving worldwide freezing orders and other forms of injunction. Many cases have had an international element. Claire has successfully pursued cases in Canada, Australia, EU the Middle East.
Claire has also been appointed by the High Court as a Supervising Solicitor on Search and Imaging Orders and as an Independent Solicitor in Interim Receiverships and Provisional Liquidations.
Claire also has experience of defamation and harassment law. She has procured and defended many injunctions under the Protection from Harassment Act.
Finally, Claire is a proponent of alternative dispute resolution. Since qualifying in 2001 she has advised on, led and been involved with many mediations. She has been an appointed mediator on many occasions and is an accredited mediator. Claire moved to London in 2014 having initially practised in Sheffield and Leeds.
