Claire Leslie joined Freemans Solicitors in April 2018 as a paralegal assisting Laura Coyle in the Family Department.
Claire became a Trainee Solicitor at Freemans in October 2019 and is currently completing her seat in the Immigration Department primarily assisting Ahmed Sesay. Claire has assisted Ahmed with various immigration and public law matters, including judicial review proceedings for unlawful detention, appeals against deportation, human rights and asylum claims.
Her first seat was in the Litigation Department where she assisted with matters involving property litigation, company disputes and employment law.
Claire studied drama at the University of Manchester and obtained her masters in applied theatre at the Central School of Speech of Drama before deciding to embark on a career in law. She gained her Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) in 2017 with commendation and completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) in 2019 with distinction.
Claire previously worked as a paralegal in a family department that specialised in public law children proceedings.
