Lydia Stephens


Lydia is a paralegal in the Criminal Department and joined Freemans in October 2021.

Prior to this Lydia completed an undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford. Lydia graduated with a 2:1 and was awarded the Thackeray Prize. Since then, Lydia completed the GDL and obtained a Commendation.

Whilst studying Lydia was involved in a range of pro-bono work for groups such as Support Through Court and Streetlaw. At Support Through Court, Lydia assisted unrepresented clients in Family and Civil Court with a range of tasks. At Streetlaw, Lydia delivered engaging legal presentations on a range of themes to different groups. Lydia also spent time carrying out pro-bono work for the enterprise branch of the BPP Legal Advice Clinic and, volunteered for Amicus ALJ’s UK Office.

In her spare time, Lydia enjoys travelling, reading fiction and attending live music events.
