Priyanka is a trainee in her final seat in the Divorce and Matrimonial Finance Department, where she is a member of a dedicated team, specialising in complex separations between High Net Worth Individuals, often including multiple jurisdictions.
Priyanka joined Freemans Solicitors in October 2018 initially in an administrative role, before joining the Commercial Property department as a Paralegal. Priyanka began her Training Contract in October 2019 and in her first seat in the Property Department, she assisted the solicitors with all types of conveyancing matters including residential conveyancing, development and construction. In her second seat in the Family Department, Priyanka worked on a variety of matters involving surrogacy, international adoption and care proceedings. Priyanka is also a member of Resolution and is committed to a non-confrontational approach to litigation, where possible.
Priyanka gained a BA (Hons) in English Literature from Queen Mary, University of London, which included a semester abroad studying in New York City. Deciding on a career in law Priyanka went on to complete the GDL (Graduate Diploma in Law) and LPC (Legal Professional Course) at BPP University.
Prior to joining Freemans, Priyanka assisted in the creation of a report presented to Parliament aimed at changing policy regarding the Refugee Crisis, with particular focus on Calais, Lampedusa and Catania, through research and data analysis.
Alongside her studies, Priyanka also produced several short films and was President of the Queen Mary Photography Society. Priyanka’s photographs have been featured in various galleries, magazines and newspapers.
Priyanka currently serves on the Freemans Charity Fundraising Committee and has been a past ambassador for the J’s Hospice.
