Sophie Lambert is an Associate in the Family Department and specialises in children’s law matters, representing parents in both complex private law children disputes and public law care proceedings, who frequently undertakes her own advocacy. Sophie is also experienced in cases with an international element, being a Resolution Accredited Specialist in Child Abduction and Private Children Law, and a member of the ICACU Accredited Solicitors panel.
Sophie is known for her sensitive, supportive and pragmatic approach and works hard at fostering good working relationships with clients. She is known for going the extra mile to ensure the best outcome possible for them and has been described as “very professional, doesn’t overpromise and gives a realistic view on the likely outcomes and processes”. Sophie has experience in dealing with complex factual and legal issues including child abduction, international relocation, sexual abuse, parental alienation, intractable contact disputes and non-accidental injury or death and are conducted at all levels of the Court, including the High Court and in the Court of Appeal.
Sophie is a member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and Resolution, so therefore strives to conduct matters in a constructive and non-confrontational way. Sophie has worked in family law since 2011, before qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2016 so has many years of experience to draw upon when advising and supporting clients.
Sophie’s knowledge and skills were recently recognised when she was ranked a ‘Key Lawyer’ in the UK 2023 edition of The Legal 500. Sophie has been recognised for her strong reputation and calm approach in both public and private law children’s cases.
