Share Article: When considering the public interest in deportation, should a Court or Tribunal take into account parental misconduct when assessing whether the effect of deportation on a child is “unduly harsh”?

That is the issue that the Supreme Court is set to consider next week in a the case of KO (Nigeria) (Appellant) v Secretary of State for the Home Department  (Respondent) brought by Freemans Immigration Department together with Leading Counsel Ian Macdonald QC, Sonali Naik QC and Helen Foot of Garden Court Chambers. More information will follow once judgement has been handed down by the Justices of the Supreme Court.
